Description of Service

PDFAI Scan is an AI-powered document scanning application for iOS devices that provides:

• Document scanning with AI edge detection
• Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality
• Multi-format export capabilities (PDF, DOCX, RTF, TXT, PNG, JPG)
• Cloud synchronization via iCloud
• Premium features available through subscription
• 26 language localizations

User Authentication

Anonymous Authentication

PDFAI Scan uses anonymous authentication through Firebase. This means:

• No email address or personal identification is required
• Your identity remains completely anonymous while using the app
• App functionality is maintained without collecting personal data
• You accept responsibility for all activities performed with the app on your device

Service Access

We reserve the right to restrict access to our services if they are used in violation of these Terms or for prohibited activities.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use PDFAI Scan only for lawful purposes. You must not:

You are solely responsible for all documents and content you process through the app. We do not monitor or review user content and are not responsible for any legal issues arising from your use of the service.

Subscription and Payment Terms

Premium Features

PDFAI Scan offers premium features through subscription plans managed by Apple's App Store. Premium features may include:

• Unlimited document scanning
• Advanced OCR capabilities
• Premium export formats
• Watermark removal
• Priority customer support

Billing and Renewals

• Subscriptions are processed through your Apple ID account
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can manage subscriptions in your device's App Store settings
• Refunds are subject to Apple's App Store refund policy
• Prices may change with advance notice

Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends.

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Intellectual Property

PDFAI Scan and all related materials are protected by intellectual property laws. This includes:

• Source code, algorithms, and software architecture
• User interface design and app graphics
• Trademarks, logos, and brand materials
• Documentation and help content
• AI models and processing algorithms

Your Content

You retain ownership of documents and content you process through the app. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the app's functionality.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PDFAI Scan in accordance with these Terms and applicable App Store terms.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Data Security

• Documents are processed locally on your device when possible
• iCloud sync is managed by Apple's secure infrastructure

Disclaimers

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Third-Party Services

Our app integrates with third-party services (Apple's iCloud, App Store, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability or performance of these external services.

User-Generated Content

We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any documents or content processed through the app. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have proper rights to scan and process documents.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
